Cops: Mattituck Woman Nabbed for Driving Drunk, Drifting
Police said the driver was drifting onto the shoulder.
A Mattituck woman was cuffed Tuesday night after police said she was caught driving drunk.
According to Southold Town police, Linda Costanzo, 61, was arrested on Route 48 near Bridge Lane in Cutchogue at 11:09 p.m.
Police said Costanzo was traveling west on Roue 48 and failing to maintain her lane; authorities added she was veering into the left lane and drifting onto the shoulder.
Costanzo was stopped and found to be intoxicated, police said. She was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
She was transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing.
