Cops: Man Busted For Felony DWI After Mattituck Car Accident
The driver had been attempting to turn his car around when he had an accident, police said.
A Florida man was busted in Mattituck Friday after he was involved in a car accident and found to be intoxicated, police said.
According to Southold Town police, Salvatore E. Fiore, 28, of Sarasota, FL, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. on Pike Street in Mattituck.
Police said they responded to a call involving a motor vehicle accident; Fiore, police said, had been attempting to turn his car around on Pike Street.
He was given several roadside sobriety tests, which he failed, and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony. Fiore was transported to Southold Town police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment.
