Cops: 3 Arrested After Large Brawl In Greenport Parking Lot

Two of the men involved were charged with marijuana possession, police said.

Three men were arrested after a "large fight" that took place in a Greenport parking lot early Monday morning, police said.

According to Southold Town police, on Monday morning at 1:24 a.m., a Flanders resident, a Yaphank resident, and a Southold resident were arrested after police broke up the fight, which took place in a Main Street parking lot. 

While investigating the fight, two of the men were found to be in possession of marijuana, police said. All three involved were charged with disorderly conduct, a violation; two were charged with possession of marijuana, a violation, and Yaphank resident John Maniaci was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

The men were transported to Southold Town pollce headquarters, processed, and released on appearance tickets to appear before Southold Town justice court at a later date.
