Harbes Family Farm Watermelon Festival

From 10 AM until 6 PM on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11, Harbes Family Farms 2013 Watermelon Festival will feature watermelon eating contests, seed spitting contests, watermelon rolling contests, watermelon lemonade, picnic foods, live music, wine tasting, singing hay rides and more.  These watermelon activities and watermelon foods will take place at the Harbes Family Farm and Vineyard at 715 Sound Avenue in Mattituck.

Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck includes a farm market, food concessions, pony rides, live music, wine tastings, hayrides,  gem mining, farm animals, mazes, and the Barnyard Adventure, which includes Bunnyville, Goat Mountain, a bee museum, corn cannon, Three Little Pigs houses, and  a variety farm themed activities. Admission to the Watermelon Festival is free.The Mattituck farm park is also the site of Harbes Vineyard with a 100 year-old wine tasting barn.
