North Fork Yard Sale Fever Spreads Online

While hundreds continue to line up as early as 6 a.m. on the North Fork on Saturdays for their weekly yard sale hunt, scores are turning to a new way to find yard sale finds all week long.

Online community yard sale sites, such as Town of Southold Buy and Sell, North Fork Hidden Treasures, East End Yard Sale, and Riverhead Yard Sale have popped up on Facebook in recent days, drawing a crowd of die-hard tag sale fans looking to buy and sell merchandise 24/7. 

Most of the groups are closed and require permission to join, keeping the yard sales local.
