I've always had the luck of the Irish. I was born into a great family. We all moved to the East End when I was little, where I went to St. Therese School (very progressive) and East Hampton High School (one of the best High Schools in the US).
I got an early start in Public Radio, writing and producing local and national documentaries. When it was time to go commercial, I ended up back in the Hamptons doing local radio. (So fun when people call up and ask you to play their art and it's already popular nationwide.)
Speaking of a hit, I met my husband when he spotted me on the dance floor in Montauk, while he was rockin the Memory Motel. We've been living upstate and raising the coolest young musician.
And now we're back, all three of us.
We're in the local music scene and I get to write about it.
Told you: I'm lucky!
