Jake Sheff, DO, Neighbor

First-year physician...Air Force Captain, father, poet. I wear many hats. For the blog I'll generally put on the doctoring hat. Enough with the hat metaphor. I was raised in Wisconsin between Milwaukee and Chicago. I attended UW-Madison where I majored in zoology and nearly triple majored in psychology and lit. From there I went to Kansas City for medical school. Now I'm a resident at Peconic Bay Medical Ctr in Riverhead, NY, and next year I'll be in Ohio at Wright St. training in pediatrics. In all those years of study, I also joined the Air Force, started a family, and taught myself how to write poetry. Other hobbies include weight lifting and playing the guitar.
