HOUSE TOUR: Famous Architect’s Only North Fork Creation For Sale

Andrew Geller, famous for building off-the-wall modernistic vacation homes on Hamptons beaches in the 1960s, died this past Christmas — and his rare design in Mattituck is on the market.

One of the rarest designs from renowned Brooklyn-born architect Andrew Geller, who died on Christmas day at 87, is currently on the real estate market. The $450,000 three-bedroom home is located on the corner of Grand Avenue and Knollwood Lane in Mattituck. The house was built in 1960 and was used by the designer for one year before John and Auriele Stack bought the house in 1962, first as a summer residence, then a full-time home after an addition — also designed by Geller — in 1982. The original barn-like structure features a one-of-a-kind great room, with angled walls, cathedral ceilings and plenty of natural light through huge windows — almost as is someone grabbed the roof of a log cabin and stretched the entire structure toward the …

Report: The Vine Wine Bar Hits the Market

Greenport place for upscale dining and wine is for sale, according to a listing on mlslirealtor.com.

The Vine Wine Bar and First Street Restaurant, a combo known for it selection of wines and laid-back patio atmosphere off the beaten business district path in Greenport Village, has hit the real estate market. Town and Country Real Estate has the property listed on Multi Listing Service of Long Island as a "$999k multi-tenant (tenanted) commercial-residential building." "It's the perfect work-live opportunity on the North Fork," the listing says. The business opened in 2005 and is described by a Zagat reviewer as an "ubercool wine bar with a limited but fantastic selection of new American small plates." Report: Special Open House Planned for Greenport Victorian

Iconic Greenport Victorian house open for tours on Thursday, featured in the Wall Street Journal.

A fully restored Italianate Victorian house in Greenport, which was featured this week as the Wall Street Journal's "house of the day" this week, will be showcased during a wine-and-cheese event on Thursday. The WSJ featured an online photo gallery of the $1,599,000 home located on First Street in the village as part of its "garden week" series. The estate features a studio and an elaborate French garden. Art conservator Patrice Bertin purchased the 19th century home in 1994 for $155,000.
