Jason's Vineyard

With strong family ties to Greek culture, winemaker Jason Damianos designed his Jamesport tasting room around GreekMore mythology, with a bar resembling an ancient Greek war ship. Mr. Damianos, a member of the family who owns the long-standing Pindar Vineyards in Peconic, planted his first vine on the Jamesport parcel in 1996 and opened the tasting room in 2009. Trained in enology first at the University of California and then the University of Bordeaux, Mr. Damianos specializes in a Meritage, a rich red blend of merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon aged in French oak. Dogs are welcome at Jason's inside or outside on the patio. Jason's features live music every Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. during the warmer months.
Diliberto Vineyard and Winery

With a tasting room designed to resemble a mountain village in Tuscany, Diliberto Vineyard and Winery is a "LittleMore Italy" smack-dab in the middle of Long Island Wine Country on Manor Lane in Jamesport. The small service bar encourages patrons to sit at a table inside or outside on the patio. Customers can also wander around the well-manicured grounds of the vineyard, which saw its first vine planted in 1998. Owners Salvatore and Maryann Diliberto opened the tasting room in 2007, playing Italian music on the speakers and serving up wines unique to the area, such as Cantina.

Winemakers Ron Goerler Sr. and Ron Goerler Jr. planted their first vine in 1981 and established Jamesport Vineyards inMore 1986. They serve estate wines out of a 150-year-old barn, where the wine is also made. Producing two lines of wines — the flagship Estate Series and the popular East End series — the laid-back vineyard is known for its Mélange de Trois, a rich red blend, and its award-winning cabernet franc. The Groerlers are widely regarded as pioneers of herbicide-free wine production and continue their sustainable farming practices today. During the summer, the winery hosts live music every weekend and offers plenty of cheese, crackers, meats and fresh local oysters and clams for wine-sipping guests to purchase.
