Medolla Vineyards

Medolla Vineyards produces only one wine: Merlot. Coming from a career in aviation, winery owner John Medolla and hisMore wife, Denise, began planting grapes on the North Fork in 2002. With the help of winemaker Eric Fry, the Medollas make their grapes into wine at Lenz Winery. They released their 2002 Merlot in 2007 to high praise and continue to receive good reviews for their wines made in the Italian Medolla family tradition.
Martha Clara Vineyards

Peconic Bay Winery

Retired air traffic controller Ray Blum planted the first vines at Peconic Bay Winery in 1979. Since then, wines suchMore as Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvigon and Cabernet Franc have been produced from grapes grown on 200 acres.</p> <p>The current tasting room, complete with panoramic patio, tapas menu and high-energy live music every weekend, opened in 2009 across from the shopping center in Cutchogue.</p> <p>The winery recently picked up the Nautique line of wines, which are gaining in popularity, and is working to develop a line of spirits. Alongside booking weekend warrior musicians for entertainment, Peconic Bay has hosted concerts by bigger names such as John Pizzarelli, Richie Havens and Mountain.</p>

Paumanok Vineyards

Founded in 1983, Paumanok Vineyards in Aquebogue is the only winery in New York State to grow chenin blanc, a highlyMore acidic grape from the Loire valley of France. The vineyards' picturesque 103 acres, on-site production facility and tasting room are owned and managed by Ursula and Charles Massoud and their three sons. Besides chenin blanc, merlot and semi-dry riesling are top-sellers at the winery. Patrons are welcome to take a free self-guided tour or pay for a guided tour of Paumanok—one of the first North Fork wineries to implement solar power in the fall of 2009.
