Mudd has worked inMore conjunction with other Long Island wineries to develop vineyards and wines. In 1974, David and  Stephen Mudd planted their own vineyard. Since that time, Mudd Vineyards has been involved in planting more than 1,500 acres of vines for Long Island vineyards,  and developed vineyards along the East Coast. The company is known throughout the country for its development and management skills. Stephen Mudd has worked with many of the North and South Fork vineyards  including Sherwood House Vineyard, Channing Sisters, Cristiano Family Vineyards and Lieb Family Cellars. Castello di Borghese Vineyard and Winery was one of the original wineries on the North Fork since the seventies. TheyMore pride themselves on providing only the highest quality wine that is a match to or superior to the wine that actually comes from the vineyards in Italy. The place is lovely and has a lot of old World charm. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable both about wineries, vineyards and the old country.
