Members also promote educational, cultural and community programs and organize local festivals and other events. </p> <p>The chamber is responsible for hamlet beautification projects such as the installation of park benches, planters and dark-sky compliant street lamps throughout Southold. Members work with local groups such as the North Fork Promotional Council to make sure businesses get maximum exposure at places such as Southold Town's visitor information centers.</p>
