My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Guyer family! What an unspeakable tragedy it is…Read More to lose one so young! Our family has been wallopped by the loss of children too so I will pray for the Guyer family that they will eventually find peace. Our daughter died suddenly only one day after her 26th birthday in 2004. We still feel the loss but now, I only allow myself to remember the many wonderful memories we shared, her million dollar smile and famous bear hugs she gave to anyone who wanted or needed one. Dear Guyer family, please know that I still feel her all around us every day and - call me crazy if you want to - your Ronan will always be with you in spirit and in your hearts! Every time I think of our Laurie Ann and I want to cry, I remember that she used to cry WITH me so I only choose to remember her smile and the great memories we have of her and the way she would make us laugh. In time, may God take away your pain and allow only the sweet memories of your son take its place. God bless you and give you peace...

Dear Guyer Family,
I do not know you but feel deeply connected to you in our common sorrow. My son…Read More Andy was also 14 when he passed in 2011, also while running for his track team in CT, and also from cardiac arrest. I see the beautiful image of your Ronan and my son breaks for him, for my own son, for all the young taken too soon and for us the parents who must bear this inconsolable pain. I am so sorry for your loss and carry you frequently in my heart and my prayers, wishing you the courage to carry on for Ronan's memory and your other children. With my heartfelt sympathy.

To Pat and Giovanna, I also went to this website, unquestionably for the same reason. My family…Read More lost our youngest son, to Lymphoma, only 7 months ago, also at age 14. Not a second goes by that I can't think about Spencer, so young and on a road to so much. He touched thousands with his fun, smile, intelligence, desire to become a veterinarian, study venom, and develop a cure for the disease which was too strong for him to fight. Studies of this illness continue, and Spencer did his best to help us overcome cancer, so hopefully others do not have to endure what we go through. All my best to you and yours, and of course the Guyer family, as you try to continue through this unthinkable tragedy.

It is wonderful when someone shares great information and memories of the Apollo program. I only…Read More wished I could of been there to see them lift off but still have great memories of watching it on television. I am never disappointed by the bad writing that Dan's distributes for amusement. It's good to know…Read More that Vineyard 48 makes one wine that tastes "grapey", one wine that's made from "Bordeaux" and one sangria that will get you tanked. Any chance we can get Wolffer or Channing Daughters to switch locations with Vineyard 48? Maybe then everyone will be happy.
Frank T August 6, 2012 at 03:32 pm
The author forgot to mention the taste when the wine is regurgitated.

I do not get to go by there much and haven't been by in a long while. I am curious how they make…Read More "peach" wine when they do not seem to grow peaches. I thought they we only allowed to make wine out of what they grow. Also, I didn't realize they were growing tobacco, too. Wow, they figured how to grow just about anything except the ability to grow up. Anybody know the law on this?

its a fact that the majority of businesses are SMALL businesses so supporting these small businesses…Read More is just as if not even more important than supporting the big ones some of which that pay no taxes. So trickle-up is more effective than trickle down. You don't need a bette example than our country, but you must be an expert economist

The many moving comments from people on line and in the newspapers speak about the person John…Read More Romanelli, the family man John Romanelli, the businessman John Romanelli and every word you hear depict the kind of person he was. Sadly, it appears as though there not that many people such as John amongst us. Perhaps, if we all try to take a chapter from his amazing book and attempt to duplicate the kind of person he was will help to cope with the loss of this wonderful man. To say he will be missed seems trite, but it certainly is true.

John's legacy to us, his Southold Family, is the enduring sense of good will that he imparted to one…Read More and all. Whether it was through his most contagious laughter, or his willingness to engage on a one to one basis, with everyone he met; he treated everyone with respect and dignity. My heart goes out to his family.
Godspeed John, and keep a close watch!

John was the epitome of a good and decent person, kind to all, especially helpful to those in in…Read More need. His infectious smile, radiance, and willingness to go that extra mile relieved the tension of many difficult situations. John's business attended to all our heating and plumbing needs, and John tended to us. His kindness just after my husband died is something I will never forget. Responding to heating problems, John's workers told me I needed a new furnace. Now. When I burst into more tears, mumbling: "I can't deal with this now." John himself came to my home to express hearffelt condolences and understanding. He promised to help me with heating decisions and with getting the job done smoothly. And he did. He came through for me in every situation, over many years.
My thoughts and heart are with your family, John.
