I also received ten tree's this year after donating, I never requested the trees but received themRead More anyway.. I was surprised when they arrived.. I will plant them soon and when they start getting larger will see if anyone wants any of them. I might keep one or two. Right now they are just small twigs but I am looking forward to taking care of them and watching them grow.

I am a certified Arborist for The Care of Trees serving the mid- Westchester area and have dedicatedRead More over 20 years helping Westchester homeowners preserve and nurture their trees and landscapes. I certainly am encouraged as I participate in Arbor Day events and learn of the real enthusiasm that Westchester residents have for trees and nature in general. These are some of our most precious resources.

Yes absoltely and by the way we pick up trash and walk in a shopping cart on our way in to theRead More store.
LEXMINMAN May 13, 2014 at 10:43 am
I constantly pick up trash on our street and if i am walking some people do not care are they lazyRead More ,slobs,or inconsiderate back to the subject yes they should ban styrofoam there are many other choices we have that are biodegradable
John Tips June 11, 2014 at 01:15 pm
We never liked Styrofoam containers! Paper and cardboard cups, and containers at least deteriorateRead More with time, while Styrofoam lasts for decades! Enforcement of law by police for littering would also help diminish the environmental pollution on our fields and roadways as well! Illinois would be wise to pass legislation which would begin a returnable deposit on bottles, cans, and containers!

I have found if you have the right stuff for sale it doesn't matter what day of the week you haveRead More the sale......its how well you advertise, place signs that you pick up each day at the end of the sale. We've done quite well in a child moving out and then downsizing. You don't expect to sell $100 + items unless you advertise them on craigslist first.

I like going out to yard sales more than holding them although we do at least twice a year. MyRead More boyfriend is great at finding deals (more expensive items) and then flipping them, that's pretty awesome! I enjoy the early mornings out together, coffee, meeting new people and sometimes coming across something really cool, like my angel bell. I've never heard of bookoo.com Stephanie P, gonna look into that for selling : ) thanks!

what I find missing are the wineries that have installed electrical consumption reducing items.Read More also we have the lowest grape per acre production - which is one of the major reasons it is not profitable for wineries to "sustain - existence" economically here.

I hope they can bring a few cost estimates to the meeting. The costs for kilowatt of wind is $1000Read More per kilowatt. 1000kilowatts per megawatt =$1,000,000 per Megawatt x 4=$4,000,000 for the windmills alone. With the yearly payback costs on the bonds for the windmills alone far exceeding any current or future incremental power costs. The solar per KW is 25-50% more then wind. For all the mayors dreams that's the real reality. If people want an eco experiance walk Moores woods and see nature as it is, not as created by people, A simple cleaning of Clarks Beach and open access would show nature naturally. The way it's been for 1,000,000 years.
