Standing since 1881, the Vail-Leavitt Music Hall has withstood the test of time in downtown Riverhead. It was placed on the National and New York State Register of Historic Places in 1979, and annually hosts a Blues Festival that draws sizable crowds to downtown. The organization has run the festival since 2006 and regularly hosts "Original Voices at the Vail," an opportunity for local artists to hop on stage in front of a live audience.
