Truman's Beach on the Long Island Sound and 55 acres of tidal wetlands across the street from it are the only two properies owned and maintained by the Orient-East Marion Park District. The pebbly shoreline is enjoyed by sunbathers, hikers and runners. A state-owned marine-access site is located just west of Truman's Beach.
