Jamesport Vineyards

Winemakers Ron Goerler Sr. and Ron Goerler Jr. planted their first vine in 1981 and established Jamesport Vineyards in 1986. They serve estate wines out of a 150-year-old barn, where the wine is also made. Producing two lines of wines — the flagship Estate Series and the popular East End series — the laid-back vineyard is known for its Mélange de Trois, a rich red blend, and its award-winning cabernet franc. The Groerlers are widely regarded as pioneers of herbicide-free wine production and continue their sustainable farming practices today. During the summer, the winery hosts live music every weekend and offers plenty of cheese, crackers, meats and fresh local oysters and clams for wine-sipping guests to purchase.
