Emerson Park

Also known as South Harbor Park, Emerson Park is a sandy location at the end of South Harbor Road in Southold. It has a wooded picnic area, restrooms and an expansive beach on Peconic Bay. Southold Park District owns and maintains the property. There are no lifeguards at this beach.

This is one of the widest sandy bay beaches on the North Fork. The local residents and summer vacationers love the long walks along the beach, picnics on the sand, fishing at the mouth of the creek or exploring the creek on a kayak. The park has picnic tables under shade trees and clean rest rooms for the residents of Southold Park District. This is one of the best beaches to take in the views under a full moon on the water.
