Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County

The Cornell Cooperative Extension is a program through Cornell University aimed at outreach, education and applied research. Cooperative Extension programs started in 1914 as a national program to help farmers and rural families apply land-grant university research. Programs continue today, divided into 5 categories: agriculture/horticulture; family health and wellness; 4-H youth development; farm and education center; marine sciences.
