A cottage near this beach is the last place Helen Keller and her famed teacher, Anne Sullivan, spent together in the summer of 1936, before Ms. Sullivan died of a heart attack. The long-neglected summer home is still standing, and people of all stripes seek the tranquility of this county-owned park. A concrete boat ramp is also located here.
