Bedell Cellars
631-734-7537
Old style meets new architecture at Bedell's tasting facility in Cutchogue, and the same approach is used in winemaking at the vineyard—one of the oldest on the North Fork. Bedell not only specializes in one-varietal wines, such as the top-selling Cabernet Franc, it also focuses on blends such as the highly-praised Taste, Gallery and Musée, wines with artist labels commissioned from Barbara Kruger, Ross Bleckner and Chuck Close.
Bedell is owned by film executive Michael Lynne, producer of such noted film as The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Nightmare on Elm Street series, Hairspray and the Austin Powers films. The winery's building was originally built as a potato barn in more than 90 years ago and was fully renovated in 2005. In addition to top-rated wine, Bedell now showcases several fitting pieces of art on both floors, too.
