Live Music at Martha Clara’s
"Live Music with 2-Man Acoustical Jam" takes place at Martha Clara Vineyards on Saturday at 1 p.m. Gino D'Ambrosio and Jim Brown are an acoustic duo who play a variety of pop, rock, alternative, blues and Top 40 hits from the 60s through today. Free admission.
Just Groovin
Also at Martha Clara at 7 p.m. on Saturday, a Winter Concert Series with "Just Groovin'" unfolds; tickets cost $20 in advance. Subject to availability; $25 at the door. All tickets purchased include a glass of wine. For tickets and more information clickhere.
Woodworking Classes
Sign up for Hallockville Museum Farm's January Woodworking Classes: Led by Tom Barry, participants will learn how to use old-fashioned tools to shape wood into a functional piece in two-hour workshops. Participants will utilize a shavehorse and a springpole lathe and learn about traditions of creating wooden tools by hand. Participants will take finished pieces home with them. Class sizes are limited and include instruction, materials and access to tools. Age 16 and up. Advance registration is required, call 631-298-5292 or email hallockv@optonline.net to reserve a place. A Variety/Talent Show will be held at the North Shore United Methodist Church on Saturday at 7 p.m. Can you sing, dance or wow the world with your talent? Discuss the New Healthcare Reform: Friday Night Dialogues continues at the Shelter Island Public Library on Friday at 7 p.m. with a free event, "The New Healthcare Reform: What Does It Mean to You? Learn About Owls
Owl Pellet Dissection: The Downs Farm Preserve hosts an event for kids on Saturday at 10 a.m. at its Route 25 location in Cutchogue. The first session, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. is for kids ages four to nine; from noon to 1:30 p.m., the session is geared toward kids ages 10 and up. Kids can discover what an owl’s diet consists of by dissecting the pellets of the predators. Suggested donation is $5 per family. The Citizens Advisory Committee-West will forgo its usual meeting on Thursday, Jan. 9, and hold a free screening of the documentary “Shored Up,” which focuses on how seaboards are vulnerable to harsh weather and beach erosion. Head to the Westhampton Beach Free Public Library at 7 p.m. to enjoy this program.
On Friday and Saturday, head over to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center to catch a screening of “White Reindeer. Starting Sunday, head over to the Quogue Community Hall as the Hampton Theatre Company will hold open auditions for “The Foreigner,” Larry Shue’s hilarious comedy about a shy and awkward “foreigner"’s unexpected adventure in the wilds of rural Georgia. Auditions are Sunday and Monday, Jan. 12 and 13 starting at 6 p.m. Break a leg.

Montauk
On Thursday, "Frances Ha" will be shown at the Montauk Library as part of the Friends of the Montauk Library's Winter Film Series. The screening will begin at 7 p.m. It is free and refreshments are served.
On Saturday, join a State Park naturalist on a beach/forest hike to a local haul-out spot for migrating seals. Hikers meet at the Montauk Point Concession building at 11 a.m. Due to the popularity of this hike, space is limited and reservations are required. Cantor Robin Joseph to speak on the "Mitzvah of Organ Donation"
On Saturday, Jan. 11, Cantor Robin Joseph will speak during Shabbat services at 10 a.m. on “The Mitzvah of Organ Donation.” Joseph has served Temple Beth Shalom in Hastings-on Hudson, NY, as cantor and otherwise, for 33 years.

Sex - What She's Really Thinking
Center Stage at Southampton Cultural Center will present the premiere of Ilene Beckerman's, Sex: What She's Really Thinking, from Jan. 9 through 26 at SCC’s Levitas Center for the Arts. This new play, written and conceived by Beckerman with Center Stage director, Michael Disher. It will be shown on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Price: General Admission is $22. Students with ID $12, Seniors on Fridays $20.
BINGO Night at Southampton High School
