Kids Club

Hampton Kids in Wainscott offers structured “Kids Clubs” for every holiday and break observed by the local public schools. Over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, children are engaged in fun activities such as baking, science experiments and holiday crafts. Hampton Kids offers morning, afternoon and full day sessions.Price: Members: $30 per session, Non-Members: $40 per session, Full Day: Members - $70 Non Members - $100.

Pre-Owned Sweater Sale

The Springs Community Presbyterian Church will hold a pre-owned sweater sale, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Art Show

On Saturday and Sunday, fish-printer Annie Sessler, sculptor Sarah Jaffe Turnbull and photographer John Todaro will be showing their work at Ashawagh Hall in Springs. The show will run 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. There will be a reception on Saturday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Admission is free.

East Hampton

"No Cull" Rally & Demonstration

Protestors will convene at the Hook Mill, and walk single file on the sidewalks, to Herrick Park at 1 p.m. They will carry signs as they march, where they will stand facing Newtown Lane.

Student Art Festival

The kindergarten through 8th grade exhibition at Guild Hall in East Hampton opens on Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a reception in the lobby and a live show on stage in the John Drew Theater featuring musical groups from the local elementary and middle schools. Museum Hours: Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 12 to 5 p.m.

Village Board

The East Hampton Village Board will meet in the Emergency Services Building at 11 a.m.

St. Luke's Church Spaghetti Dinner

Spaghetti, salad, bread and beverages with dessert and coffee at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in East Hampton Village, starting at 4:30 p.m. Price: $15 Eat In or Take Out

Free Winter Film Series

"Teddy Bear," winner of Sundance Film Festival 2012 World Cinema Directing Award, will be shown at Guild Hall as part of the free winter film series in partnership with the East Hampton Library. The film starts at 4:30 p.m.

Bridgehampton

Celebrate Hamptons Wellness Week at Fresh Hamptons

Fresh Hamptons in Bridgehampton is taking part in Hamptons Wellness Week on Jan. 17 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. with a fun family celebration. Children of all ages will prepare their own pizza with Chef Todd Jacobs and make a pair of cloth wings to wear with Anastasia Gavalas, founder of the Wing It Project. Admission is free, but donations to help support the Wing It Project will be accepted.

CMEE PLAY

The Children's Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton will hold a frozen paper workshop where kids can witness the astonishing results as they experiment with a variety of paints and frozen paper surfaces, starting at 10:30 a.m. All CMEE PLAY workshops are ideal for children ages 2-6 years and adult assistance is required.  Price: Members $7, Non-Members $18 (includes admission).

Prentiss Dunn Musical Lectures

Prentiss Dunn Musical Lectures will be held on Jan. 19, Jan. 26, and Feb. 2, 9, and 16, at 2 p.m.

North Sea

Mobile Spay/Neuter Van at SYS

The Southampton Town Animal Shelter low cost spay/neuter Mobile Clinic with be at SYS in North Sea, starting at 7 a.m. Vaccination services will be offered, too. Make an appointment.

Southampton

Open Auditions for "August: Osage County": Center Stage at Southampton Cultural Center will hold open auditions for Tracy Letts', "August: Osage County." Readings from the script will occur. Michael Disher directs. Performances will begin on March 20 and run through April 6.

Westhampton

"The Great Beauty" Screening

The film will be shown at the Westhampton Performing Arts Center on Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 4 and 7:30 p.m. Price: TICKETS: $15, $9, $5

Vinyasa Basics with Martha Weller

Hamptons Yoga Healing Arts in Westhampton will host Vinyasa Flow Yoga at 11 a.m.

Quogue

Birds of Winter with Eileen Schwinn at the Quogue Library

The Quogue Library will hold an introduction and discussion to winter waterfowl at 10 a.m. A field trip to a local pond for identifying will immediately follow this presentation. Register in advance.

East Moriches

Blood Drive

Memoir Writing Series @ The Hampton Bays Public Library

The Winterfest Kickoff Event

A beloved musical tradition is back this week as Live on the Vine Winterfest kicks off on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Suffolk Theater. Tickets cost $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Performing at the event will be Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks, Bakithi Kumalo and Mambo Loco.

The 2014 Winter Jazz Experience

Featuring Claes Brondal and the Soul Jazz Train Express, unfolds at Martha Clara Vineyards on Friday at 7 p.m. General admission tickets cost $20 in advance; subject to availability. $25 at the door. All tickets purchased include a glass of wine. For tickets and more information, click here.

For a fun-filled morning at the Long Island Science Center on Saturday at 11 a.m. as "Dinosaur Dimensions" takes place. Kids can learn about when giant reptiles ruled the earth and enjoy dino-themed activities and crafts.

Shelter Island

Sylvester Manor's Annual Bluegrass Concert

Head to Shelter Island on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. for an evening of contemporary country fusion with the Grammy-nominated Steel Drivers from Nashville. The Sylvester Manor Educational Farm, in cooperation with the Shelter Island Town Recreation Department, presents the event. The curtain rises on "Steel Magnolias" at the North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck, beginning on Friday. The show will run on Jan. 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, and 31, and Feb. 1 and 2.
