Week Ahead: Holiday Fairs, 'It's A Wonderful Life,' Christmas in Cutchogue

Don't miss a second of all the fun holiday events unfolding on the North Fork this week.

Here's a look at what's happening on the North Fork this week:

- Monday night is couple's night at A Lure, located at 62300 Main Road in Southold. A $50 prix fixe menu includes an appetizer, two entrees, a chocolate bag and two glasses of bubbly; dine fireside. Beginning at 5 p.m. For reservations, call 631-876-5300.

- - The East End Women's Network will hold a Networking Dinner on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Hotel Indigo, located at 1830 West Main Street. The holiday party also includes a gift basket auction, hors d’oeuvres, a buffet dinner and a complimentary glass of wine or beer. - Front Street Station is hosting a Touchstone Jewelry Party on Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. Free champagne and food will be served. Anyone who brings two guests will receive a $20 Front Street Station gift card. 

- Eastern Long Island Hospital hosts an auxiliary sale on Friday at 9 a.m. Dream Designs will be in the conference room.  Lots of fashion accessories.  Shop for the holidays.

- Mattituck High School's 5th Annual Chinese Auction takes place Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Drawing begins at 8 p.m. Must be present to win. Sponsored by Art Partners/Mattituck Art Partners to benefit visual art scholarships, educational resources and community art events.

- The Oysterponds Elementary PTA Holiday Auction takes place Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at our annual Holiday Auction. Prizes include a Kindle Fire HD, an American Girl doll, two weeks of camp at Quinipet, Splish Splash tickets, Adventureland tickets and many, many more prizes. Winners need not be present to win. There will also be baked goods and a 50/50.

- Christmas in Cutchogue is slated for Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Cutchogue Fire Department and Library. The family event is free. Festivities start with a magic show, followed by Santa arriving by helicopter at 10:30 a.m.  Santa will then ride by fire truck to the library for pictures and a gift for the kids. Bring your own camera.

- Mattituck's Boy Scout Troop 39 holds its Wreath Sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Mattituck and Cutchogue post offices, featuring garlands, decorated and undecorated wreaths.


- "Eat, Drink and Be Sparkling" at Sparkling Pointe Vineyards & Winery every Saturday and Sunday during December from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  (Sparkling Pointe will be closed Sunday, Dec. 15). Sparkling Pointe will feature wine and food pairings, sparkling wine specials, and holiday gifts, including customized wine gift baskets. - The North Fork Community Theatre presents "It's A Wonderful Life — A Radio Play" on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The holiday classic comes to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. Tickets cost $15; $10 for students. To purchase, call  631-298-NFCT or click here.
