Week Ahead: 'Candlelit Christmas,' Christmas Eve Dining, Cooking Demo

Don't miss any of the Christmas week fun on the North Fork.

Here's a look at what's happening on the North Fork for Christmas week:

- Monday night, it's "A Candlelit Christmas" at 7 p.m. Join organist William Roslak and his choral ensemble, the Corchaug Singers, in a concert featuring classic carols for all to sing and works by Handel, Mozart, Holst, and Rutter sung by the choir. Held at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue, admission is free, with a free-will offering. For more information call the rectory at 631-734-6446 or 631-561-9233.

- On Tuesday, it's Christmas Eve at aMano Oysteria & Wine Bar on Main Road in Mattituck, featuring "The Feast of the 7 Fishes" specials throughout the evening. For reservations call 631-298-4800.

- Christmas Eve dinner will also be served at A Lure in Southold. Dine fireside while enjoying specials by Chef Jeff Uguil.  To see the menu, click here. For reservations call 631-876-5300.

- Cooking Demonstration: On Sunday, Dec. 29,  at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library at 2 p.m., personal Chef Rob Scott demonstrates how to make Tomato-Basil-Rice Soup and fresh baked scallion biscuits from scratch. Enjoy learning how to make memorable comfort foods with a gourmet twist. Registration required. Material Fee: $5. 

- On Sunday, it's "Spartacus: The Bolshoi Ballet of Moscow, Ballet in Cinema at 3 p.m. at the Peconic Landing Community Center. The performance stars Mikhail Lobukhin in the title role; Anna Nikulina as Phrygia, wife of the slave rebellion's leader; Vladislav Lantratov as Crassus, the Roman general charged with quelling the rebellion; and international ballet phenomenon Svetlana Zakharova as Aegina the scheming lover of Crassus.
