Charity Concert, Music At Gazebo, Fun for Kids This Week

It's a week of music and dance on the North Fork.

Here's a look at what's happening on the North Fork this week.

- Dance the Night Away: A night of dancing and music to Nile Rodgers and Chic, plus an all-star lineup including Nile Rodgers and Chic, Adam Lambert, Chromeo, Mystery Skulls, Prince Paul and Avicci will head a benefit concert to benefit All for the East End, a charitable organization founded to raise funds for East End non-profits. The event takes place at Martha Clara on Monday, with parking fields opening at 4 p.m. and stars taking the stage at 7 p.m. Food trucks will be onhand; an after-party will be held at the Suffolk Theater. - Get involved. A monthly meeting of the Greenport Village board of trustees takes place Monday at 6 p.m. at the Third Street Firehouse.

- Family Concert at the Gazebo: Meet at Volunteer Park on North Ferry Road on Thursday at 7 p.m. for the Shelter Island Town Music Series at the Gazebo, with Island Folk, a group that has been performing an acoustic blend of folk, traditional, and blues music for years. With John Kerr on bass, Penny Kerr on mandolin, guitar and vocals, and Heather Reylek on guitar, banjo and vocals the sound is a crowd pleaser.

- Dancing in the Park: The popular summer series continues in Mitchell Park in Greenport at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Bring a picnic and dance to the music of Miles to Dayton, an acoustic folk rock group.

- Fun for kids: The Cutchogu-New Suffolk Library offers a chance to make Rainbows in a Jar on Monday from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Kids will use layers of salt they will color themselves. For grades three to five.
