Sunset Beach Offers Car Wash to Help Fight Sex Trafficking

Get your car washed at Shelter Island resort and help the Katie Ford Foundation Monday afternoon.

, a beachside restaurant and resort on Shelter Island, is holding a charity car wash Monday afternoon to benefit the Katie Ford Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fighting slavery and sex trafficking worldwide.

The car wash is $25 and will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the resort. This is the first time Sunset Beach is hosting the event.

Katie Ford is the founder of the foundation and is the former CEO of Ford Models, an agency that has represented high-profile models and performers such as Kim Basinger, Adriana Lima, Rachel Hunter, and Christie Brinkley. She was married to hotelier Andre Balazs, who owns Sunset Beach.

The Katie Ford Foundation partners organizations to provide international companies with systematic changes to manage their supply chains to help end the problem of forced labor and human trafficking.
