Rain Postpones Eastern Long Island Hospital Golf Classic

Annual fundraiser pushed to Monday.

on Shelter Island has postponed the for originally scheduled for June 13, to June 18.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a shot-gun start at 1 p.m. Highlights of the day include a gourmet lunch, 18 holes of golf with tournament prizes played in a scramble format, barbecue, cocktails, buffet dinner, and awards ceremony. The scramble format is designed to move the game along, allowing all foursomes to finish and compete for prizes. 

Participation in the 2012 Golf Classic directly supports the mission of Eastern Long Island Hospital — to provide essential healthcare services to the North Fork community. This year, the Classic pays tribute to Bob, Jamie and Billy Mills of to acknowledges their many years of service to the Greenport community through their business as well as personally through their involvement in local civic organizations.

Hole-in-one prizes will be provided by Strong’s Marine and of Southold.
