North Fork Promotion Council Names New President

Late last month, Joan Bischoff van Heemskerck of was elected president of the, and , a local CPA, was elected vice president.

The council’s former president, , stepped down from his role as president after 18 years but will remain active in the promotion council and will continue to serve as its representative on the board for the East End Tourism Alliance.

Bischoff van Heemskerck most recently served as the council’s vice president. Prior to that, he was the council’s treasurer, a role he will also serve as until a qualified candidate is identified to replace him.

Hunzinger most recently served as the council’s treasurer and secretary.

The North Fork Promotion Council is a cooperative initiative to promote the North Fork through strategic marketing and advertising to enhance the economy while preserving the environment and quality of life.
