Antique and vintage vendors from East Marion to Farmingville set up shop at on Saturday for the 30th annual antique show, a fundraiser for society.
Diane Boone and Barbara Amrkein of in Jamesport said that books and historic postcards were big sellers this year as opposed to bigger ticket items.
Book collector Gianna Volpe was stoked to have found historic prints of some of her favorite classic books — "Wuthering Heights," "The Last of the Mohicans," and "Robinson Crusoe."
"I've read them all, I just really love the animations in these," she said.
William and Nilda Plonski, owners of East Marion's Willy-Nilly antiques, said that sterling silver was selling well during their first go at the Mattituck show.
"The bracelets seem to be moving well," said William, a former history teacher-turned antique dealer. William and his wife have been collecting historic knic-knacks like bottle openers, dolls — like a Russian "nesting doll" featuring U.S. presidents from Jimmy Carter to Bill Clinton going for $45 — and many historic books and documents.
"We go to yard sales, garage sale and hit a few auctions," William said. "The goodies always seem to be at the bottom of the box."
