Have an Extra Room? Why Not Play Host to a Baseball Player

Hamptons Collegiate Baseball is looking for housing for its players during the 2012 season.

Now that it's mid-March the league is looking for families to house their players.

and new players ready for the roster of the longstanding North Fork Ospreys, players will be looking for housing, part-time jobs and other opportunities to participate in the communities. Host families are required to supply a player with a room, a bed, laundry, and meals but will not need to provide transportation.

Players will arrive early in June and stay until the first week in August. They will play baseball five or 6 days a week and will workout at local gyms.

"We strongly believe the relationships that are forged between players and host families will be memorable and will last a lifetime," said Jeff Standish, who is in charge of placing players in homes. "There really is no other way to get this close to the team and the game."
