EVENT: New Suffolk Waterfront Fund's 4th Annual Chowderfest

Go grab some chowder in New Suffolk for a good cause this coming Saturday.

might be the main event on the North Fork this Memorial Day Weekend, but if you have a hankering for clam chowder, pop down to the New Suffolk Waterfront on Saturday to kick off the summer season at the 4th annual Chowderfest.

Enjoy mouthwatering homemade chowders, barbecue, live music by RockIT Science, and watch world-renowned 3-D street painter Rod Tryon work his magic. T-shirt printing, face painting and games on the beach make some fun for the kids. Perennial plant sale, bake sale and model submarine display honoring the site's history as the U.S. Navy's first submarine base will also be on display.

All proceeds go towards improvement of the New Suffolk Waterfront property. The New Suffolk Waterfront Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving New Suffolk’s waterfront. It also sponsors a variety of community events.
