PHOTOS: Shelter Island 10K Draws Hundreds of Runners

Sailing Olympian Amanda Clark was one of many to run 6.3 miles on 'the rock.'

Whether you're in top running shape or not, the Shelter Island 10K is one North Fork not to be missed. It happened this year on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. starting and ending at the Shelter Island School.

Celebrity runners like Joan Benoit Samuelson and Bill Rodgers once again paced the pack, and local Olympic sailing hopeful Amanda Clark, a Shelter Island native, will ran the 10K before resuming her goal for gold in August.

Check out a few photos from the day.
