MINDBODY employees gathered for a 5k race on Friday outside of the MINDBODY offices on Toilsome Lane in East Hampton. Friends and family had gathered to cheer them along the course. The race marked the wrap up of the MINDBODY Evolve Wellness Challenge, a 3-month workplace wellness program offered to employees as an opportunity to experience significant physical, mental and spiritual growth.

MINDBODY, the largest global provider of web and mobile business management solutions for the wellness and beauty industries, launched the challenge for its employees in East Hampton, NY and San Luis Obispo, CA this past April. The program, which will pick up again in the fall for another set of employees, was designed to strengthen ties to the community by incorporating the services of local MINDBODY subscribers, including Studio 89 in Sag Harbor.

Participants of the challenge received Jawbone Up activity trackers, 1:1 coaching in nutrition, personal training, gym memberships, wellness support products and financial reimbursement for wellness services. Participants also utilized two of the company’s newest products to facilitate their wellness activities: MINDBODY Exchange, a corporate wellness program that links employees nationwide to Integrative Health practitioners in their local communities; and MINDBODY Connect, a consumer app that allows users to find, book and pay for local health, wellness and beauty services directly from the app.

Notable milestones and stats had been tracked and were tabulated and reported by MINDBODY's Wellness Program Manager, Jessica Bailey, at the conclusion of the race. "42,307,311 steps were taken, 3,147 fitness classes were taken, and 28,205 total miles were covered in total. That's the equivalent of walking around the Earth's equator 1.2 times." said Bailey on Friday.

The winner of the 5k race was MINDBODY Sales Representative Jose Trejos.
