July General Meeting: Land and Water Quality on Long Island
Location: Floyd Memorial Library, Community Room, 539 First Street, Greenport, NY 11944
The past three decades have witnessed radical changes in groundwater and surface water quality on Long Island and these changes are linked. There are several lines of evidence that indicate these changes in groundwater nitrogen content are directly linked to the density of homes in Suffolk County. Come and learn more about the research and the actions that Long Islanders must take from professor Chris Gobler, who is the director of SUNY Stony Brook/Southampton Coastal and Estuarine Research Program.
Please note the change of time and venue from NFAS's regular meeting place.
