FEMA and SBA assistance for losses from Hurricane Sandy

 

Hurricane Sandy has dealt a serious blow to many of us, many of our friends, our families and our businesses.

FEMA and the SBA have programs available to help with disaster assistance. FEMA has monies for fuel and clothes and/or monies for house repairs that aren’t covered by insurance. The SBA has monies available for small businesses that suffered a financial blow for spoiled food due to no refrigeration or monies to repair and recover.

I recommend that everyone contact their insurance company first to ensure that money isn’t due to you from your insurance company. If it isn’t or if it is insufficient to get back on your feet, please click on the links below for more financial help.
