Greenport Unveils Restored Auditorium

Greenport School holds a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday night to open the recently restored auditorium.

On Monday night, Greenport School Superintendent Michael Comanda helped unveil the newly restored auditorium to a packed house just prior to the elementary school concert.

Last December, to make repairs to the 1930s- era school and add a windmill and solar panels to the grounds. Over the summer

The auditorium had been closed to the public since the beginning of the school year as the extensive repairs to the roof, floor, lighting, and seats were made.
