In the search for control over our lives we try to control the people and things around us. The result of this is that our mind becomes more rigid and rather than feeling at peace we feel out of control and vulnerable. However, through learning to control our mind in meditation we can learn to be happy and enjoy any situation we meet.
This workshop will introduce the nuts and bolts of why and how to meditate, including simple guidedmeditations and question and answer time. Perfect for beginners or those who would like to be re-introduced to meditation practice.
Gen Norden is an English Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher for Vajravarahi Meditation Center, Sag Harbor. She has been teaching Buddhist meditation and practice in the US and the UK for almost twenty years.
By learning simple and practical techniques we can easily:
