Gifts from the Poor:

Glenn Geelhoed, M.D, FACS, Chief of International Surgery at George Washington University, Tropical and Infectious Disease Specialist, educator, peace maker, and outdoor adventurer will be offering a presentation and lecture. Dr. Geelhoed has conducted medical missions for over 40 years to some of the most remote and often dangerous corners of the world. He has also provided medical relief in crisis situations in the US. We are honored to have him come to the North Fork. North Fork Children will be doing a special musical presentation and coffee and dessert will follow at the book signing of his latest book: Gifts from the Poor: What the world taught one doctor about healing. Admission is free.  Whistles for Peace is sponsoring this event.
