Bug Lighthouse Trips

On Memorial Day Weekend we invite you to enjoy a trip to Long Beach Bar "Bug" Light (and get a great view of the Tall Ships from the water!!).Great fun for family, friends and weekend visitors!

 

Don't miss this unique opportunity to go aboard Bug Light for a 45 minute visit.Visitors will explore the lighthouse, take photos, view a special exhibit and listen to a narration of its history and stories.

 On the way to the lighthouse and back to the dock you will also have spectacular views of the six Tall Ships docked in Greenport harbor. 

The trips will be narrated by Ted Webb, an expert on local maritime history and one of the people instrumental in its preservation; and Bob Allen, the great-grandson of William H. Follett, the last lighthouse keeper of Bug Light.

 From the lighthouse pier, people will enter the lighthouse from the ground floor and climb a short stairway to a main room. A fenced deck surrounds this level, enabling harbor views from all side

Meet at the museum by 3:30 PM to get boarding pass.The Peconic Star will depart promptly at 4 PM
