Don't Miss: Southold PTA 'ZUMBAthon' Fundraiser

The fun-filled family event will benefit the Southold school district.

Parents and kids looking to dance the night away -- and raise money for the Southold school district -- will lace up their sneakers Friday night for a fun-filled ZUMBAthon.
The event, which will be held at Southold Elementary School on Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., will be led by fitness trainer Jill Schroder of JABS in Mattituck, as well as JABS instructors, and is sponsored by the Southold PTA.
Proceeds will go toward the "enhancement of the well-being for all children in the Southold school district," according to organizers.
Event registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Southold Elementary School gym hallway, with the event running from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Registration costs $20 for pre-registered participants ages 13 and over; $15 for pre-registered participatns ages five through 12; and $25 on the evening of the event for everyone.
The first 200 to register will receive an event T-shirt; all participants will be entered into a raffle with a chance to win a grand prize.
Kids are encouraged to dance and ZUMBA, as well as participate in other activities. Supervision will be provided for children in the cafeteria during the ZUMBAthon.
Meanwhile, anyone 13 and over will head to the gym with the JABS instructors.
Each class will be donating a themed gift basket for the raffle; a 50/50 will also be held.
