Don't Miss: Greenport BOE Meeting Monday Night

Possible shared drama production with Southold to be discussed.

The Greenport board of education will hold a meeting Monday night at 7 p.m. The meeting was originally scheduled for Feb. 13 but was moved due to inclement, snowy weather.

On the agenda for tonight's meeting are a proposed discussion on Superintendent Michael Comanda's approval of tenure for elementary school principal Joseph Tsaveres.

Also slated for discussion are topics such as shared services with Southold schools, including shared education technology, a joint drama production, and AP business courses.

Additional topics slated for discussion by the superintendent are agenda items on the playground, and an East End Leadership Summit.

I am for increased shared services between the two districts at ALL levels. With state aid becoming scarce, this is the way to increase offerings to students.
