Pet of the Week: Tyson & Benji

Two handsome people-loving pooches await adoption at the Town of Southold Animal Shelter.

This week's Pet of the Week actually features two incredibly handsome boys who are residing at the Town of Southold Animal Shelter that have oodles of love to give to the right families -- or maybe even one lucky family.

I had the pleasure of meeting one of these super canines, 4 year old Mastiff mix Tyson; whose pretty soft eyes will knock you over, and his gentle nature will truly capture your heart (I know it did mine).

Shelter office manager Gabby Glantzman expressed how she feels about this normally calm, cool, and collected boy.  "Tyson is smart, mellow, and loves all," she said.

Sadly, being in a shelter and not in a home environment is weighing heavily on Tyson's calm demeanor.

With thoughts that his step-brother Benji would be a good match to go into a home with Tyson, Glantzman suggested I highlight him as well this week.

Benji is a 2 year old Pitbull mix who is known around the shelter as the playful pup who absolutely adores kids.  As you can see in his pics, he fancies tennis balls as well.

The only thing that Benji does not get along with is kitties, so he has to go into a home without them.

If you have room in both your heart and your home for one or both of these wonderful canines, stop by the shelter today to meet them.
