Pet of the Week: Pooh the Kitty

An incredibly sweet 5-year-old red tabby mix who's a bit shy at first shows his true colors after only a short visit.

Since their loving owner passed away over one year ago, there's a special that grace the with their gentle presence and stunning eyes. While some of the siblings have been lucky enough to have gone to their new forever homes, others still remain at the Shelter, such as an endearing 5-year-old red tabby mix named Pooh.

Even though he boasts the signature bright eyes this family of kitties share, Pooh may not get the immediate attention he deserves because of the shyness he displays at first.

But as soon as he realized that the only motive I had was friendship, this handsome kitty quickly warmed up during our visit and remained by my side.

Like most animals that are adopted, Pooh will need need some patience in his new home.

"Pooh and his siblings need to be given enough time to get accustomed to their new surroundings," said Gabby Glantzman, shelter office manager.

But all agree that this sweetheart of a cat will be a wonderful companion for one lucky family.
