Blog: Missing Dog Alert For Mattituck and Surrounding Areas

A red and white shiba inu dog went missing yesterday -- PLEASE CALL IF YOU'VE SEEN HER.

On Friday, June 1, 2012, a beloved shiba inu dog named Nikki, ran off into the woods near  in Mattituck, after something startled her -- leaving her family heartbroken.

Please take a good look at this dog's picture, and if you have seen her in the area -- IMMEDIATELY call Nikki's owners at the following numbers, in order to give them her location.

PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO CAPTURE THIS DOG ON YOUR OWN, unless you're an animal expert.  She is very timid in nature, and will only run farther away.

The family would greatly appreciate any and all help in the safe retun of Nikki.

We are all so glad that the beautiful Nikki was found. My best advice is always make sure that your pet has a tag with your or his/her name and phone number on it. Even tho my dogs are chipped, name and phone tags are the fastest way to get your pet home.

We have a shiba inu in Southold and know how how they love to run! Glad Nikki is home safe with her family!
