Bravo Show Features Shelter Island's 'Bumblebee Manor'

An episode of Property Envy, a show about high-end real estate on Bravo, was dedicated solely to homes in the Hamptons, including one on Shelter Island.

The show, which aired Tuesday night, focused in on "three beach homes in the heart of East Coast luxury." 

"Bumblebee Manor" on Shelter Island was touted as only reachable by air or sea. The 10,000-square-foot abode on three acres is on the market for $14.995. With 350-square-feet of beach and uninterrupted water views, the property has a private dock, where "you can park you boat, helicopter, or sea plane."

Another house, known as the "Beach Bunker," is located in Montauk. The 5,500-square-foot steel framed home with ocean views was valued at $6 million. The kitchen has two ranges and a $40,000 antique wooden table. Because it is less than 100 feet from the Atlantic Ocean, the house has $450,000 shutters and windows to protect it from the hurricane with the touch of a button.

The "Windmill House," on Deep Lane in Amagansett was also featured. Built in the late 1800s, it was a working windmill until 1958. The 1,100-square-foot house, on five acres near the Quail Hill Farm, is where Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller reportedly stayed. It is listed with Douglas Elliman for $7.9 million.
