Water Main Extension Projects Wrapped Up on North Fork

Service territory expanded by more than 1800 feet.

Over a dozen new customers will be receiving county water after a main extension project wrapped up recently.

The Suffolk County Water Authority announced the completion this week of water main extensions in both Cutchogue and New Suffolk.

A 1260-foot water main extension on Main Road in Cutchogue, between Moores Lane and Cases Lane, will serve approximately 17 new customers to start, and another extension of 565-feet complete on Grathwohl Road in New Suffolk will begin two new customers.

“We’re looking forward to serving new customers on the North Fork and bringing them safe and constantly tested drinking water,” SCWA Chief Executive Officer Jeff Szabo said.

Anyone interested in inquiring about hooking up to public water should contact SCWA’s New Service department at (631) 218-1148.
