Republicans Rally for Final Election Push

The Southold Town Republicans began their final campaign preparations for the November elections with a fundraiser at Duck Walk Vineyards.

With the November elections just weeks away, Suffolk County Republican officials joined Southold Town's Republicans to garner party support at a fundraiser at Duck Walk Vineyards on Thursday evening.

Southold Town Republican Chairman Denis Noncarrow told the crowd there was an important election coming up in three weeks and an even more important election coming up next year. He said that people on Long Island look to Republican-favored Southold Town for election trends;  then he introduced William Ellis, Smithtown Republican Chairman, who reiterated Noncarrow's message.

Ellis said that Smithtown and Southold have a lot in common when it comes to politics because both towns tend to vote Republican and Conservative and then he introduced the Suffolk County Court candidate John Toomey and Supreme Court Jusitice candidate Joseph Santorelli.

The evening ended with Trustee Robert Ghosio introducing elected officials and he said he believed that in another three weeks, Republicans would continue to lead Southold Town. Ghosio said the Republicans work for the town they "love" and it shows.

"I don't care what the Democrats say in the paper, I think this is the most beautiful town on Long Island," Ghosio said.
