Question of the Day: What is Your Reaction to School Election Results?

Were you expecting all of the budgets to pass Tuesday night?

All six school districts of the North Fork had budgets pass for 2011-12 Tuesday night — that means many of the academic and athletic programs and existing services will continue for at least another year in our local schools. But the budgets that were passed were the closest they've ever been to a contingency budget in several districts — only a $300,000 difference in Southold, as re-elected school board member Scott DeSimone pointed out.

When you voted, did you feel clear about what you were voting for? Were you confident the budgets would pass? Were you surprised there were not many races for school board seats across the region?
