Ms. Maertz was crushed. But she did not campaign or raise money.

I wasn't allowed to vote. In NYS one must be registered in a party in order to vote in a primary. This part of our election law is a throw back to the dark ages. It needs to be changed. The state of Mississippi has open primaries.m one would think New York would be a bit more progressive.

Taylor- can you add not allowed to vote in this survey?

Heather, I think that would create voter trouble. Democrats or Republicans can show up and vote in their opponents primary race and virtually "choose" who they want to run against. They could vote for the perceived weaker candidate. That is why I disagree. Did you want Republicans showing up in droves to vote for Maertz ?? We should keep it the way it is or campaigns could be pre-determined before the vote is held. Thanks.

Democrats voted wisely. I agree with the NY policy of only registered party voters voting in party primaries so as not to skew the result by rogue or tageted voting
